Time š° is a construct, a figment of our imaginationsā¦.thatās the only way to explain that it is already December 2023. In November, we devoted our content here at rmrk*st Magazine to an entire TV show franchise dedicated to the manipulation of time ā³, Doctor Who. But at the end of every year, itās nice to take a bit of a mental pause āø: we celebrate holidays, spend time with family and loved ones, and kick back with some holiday movies š¼ and traditions. But before we talk about what weāve packed in our sleigh š· to deliver this December, letās take a look back at the last month here at Rmrk*st Mag, just like a Spotify Wrapped retrospective.Ā
In honor of the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the TV show that has captured the hearts and minds of generations of fans, we dedicated last monthās cover and lots of content to the fandom. We took a look at the villains featured in the TV show over the years, from the original series to the 2005 revival. We challenged readers to the ultimate Doctor Who triviaā. And since the holidays are indeed coming up, we offered our best Doctor Who gift guide to help you find that perfect piece of paraphernalia for the fan in your life (or yourself!) To understand the show better, a self-proclaimed Doctor Who newbie on our staff interviewed a fan to find out the best way to start watching, now that those 60th Anniversary specials are finally out!
We looked to Friends for how to celebrate a perfect Thanksgiving, and once the turkey š¦ and pie š„§ finished, we kicked off our Holiday Slate! The Holiday Slate is our way of taking some time to dive into the holiday spirit, with a lineup of holiday themed TV show/movie watch party events! For a fun twist, our Holiday Slate is focused on those Hallmark and Hallmark-style rom coms šš that are very popular at this time of year, as well as some other surprises. Anyone with a Remarkist account can join us for these events! The holiday festivities donāt stop there: we are opening up our very own digital version of the classic holiday market! The Joyful Markit is our take on the artistās open-air market, complete with sweet treats šŖ and an emphasis on gift-givingāwith prizes š, of course!
