This October, we’re celebrating all things autumnal from cosplay to candy!
Hello, friends! We hope you’re fully settled in the cozy arms of Fall, enjoying sweater weather, spiced coffees and teas ☕️, and falling leaves 🍁🍂. Whether you’re a fan of Halloween or not (most of us here at rmrk*st are), spooky season is officially upon us! Woo! Or should we say “boo!” 👻 And we’ve got some fright-eningly great content coming your way all month long.
Much like Netflix took us on a trip down memory lane when they mailed their last DVD 📀 ever, let’s take a look back at what you might have missed in September:
The Fall is most definitely, unofficially, great hat 👒 season and to that end, we pitted Alexis Rose’s epic headwear pieces against one another on our Instagram for an epic hat bracket showdown like no other! Curious about the winner? Check our Insta to find out!
We began honoring Hispanic History Month (September 15-October 15) with some handy lists of great TV shows 📺 and movies 🎥 to add to your watchlist (or rewatch list) that highlight Latinx stories and experiences. Join us on the Remarkist app for more watch parties 🍿 of movies and TV shows that celebrate Hispanic Heritage throughout the month!
September is also the month when many go back to school 🚌, so we put together a list of great TV shows that give off a freshly-sharpened-pencils-and-new-untouched-notebooks ✏️📓 vibe. And speaking of all things autumnal, we put together the ultimate Fall episodes list of Gilmore Girls, the definitive show dedicated to foliage. And now that the summer’s over and our jobs are no longer “just beach,” we looked back at the Barbie movie as a celebration of unapologetic fandom 🎀.
And if you’re keeping up with us on Discord, we launched a brand new leveling bot that you’ll want to read all about! As you might have noticed, here at rmrk*st we often have a monthly content theme. And with Halloween upon us, and fan festivals (like New York Comic Con, among many others) going on this month, we thought we would dedicate this issue to the art of cosplay and costumes 🦹♀️🦸♂️! Fans are so creative when it comes to honoring their fandom through fashion, and this month we will be celebrating cosplay in all its forms! Make sure to tag us on Instagram in your best cosplay–we want to see those creative outfits! (And while you’re there, consider following our fandom-specific Instagram accounts! We’ve been having a ton of fun with Gilmore Girls, Taylor Swift, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Friends!)
