Grab your passport and my hand

With the international 🌏leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour about to start, it’s time to learn more about the international Swiftie culture.

As we all know, in the U.S., Taylor is also called Blondie, The Music Industry, TayTay, Bleachella, and more. Some countries have created their own ways to refer to her. Here is a list of most of these nicknames and their meaning.

PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭

Anteh - A socio-dialect translated to Auntie

Inang - A translation of Mother

Diyos - God, not a surprise considering the intensity of the Philippines fandom

CHINA 🇨🇳

Měiměi 美美 - Translated to Unlucky, she was named this after many of her early singles failed to reach number 1 on the Billboard 200, and fans started to believe she was unlucky.

Xiao mei nu’ (小美女) - Translation to “little beauty”

MEXICO 🇲🇽

Teresa “Tey” Suarez - Just a take from typical Mexican names that start with T and S

La Mijiji - Translated would be The Me-hee-hee, inspired by the Me! chorus

La Biyul - Biyul is not a word but a phonic-based way to wrongfully write “Bejeweled” on purpose.

La Güera- It means Blonde and sometimes they write it as “wera”

Tyler Smith - Originated from that viral interview where the reporter called her Taylor Smith and exaggerated to also say a wrong first name

La Megamente - A newer one from “Mastermind,” although the translation is actually “Megamind” and “Mastermind” would be Mente Maestra, which doesn’t sound as NICE!

Taybolera - This one comes from the word “Teibolera” which is women who do table dance, it is used for Taylor for the “Tay” sound of the word.

GUATEMALA 🇬🇹

La Canche - Just means blonde.

Taydiosa - Basically, TayGod

Taymajestad - Tay-Majesty

Taylord - It is self-explanatory

Guatemalens also use some of the same as Mexico, specially Mijiji and Biyul.

PERU 🇵🇪

TayMijiji - A mix between Taylor and Mijiji

Mama Taylor - Mom Taylor. In most Latin countries, kids call their grandmothers Mom + their first name.

La Culebra - The Snake, 🐍 from the reputation era

PARAGUAY 🇵🇾

Teilor Eswicht - A funny way to write her name inspired by how they pronounce it with an accent

CUBA 🇨🇺

Tailor Eswif - Similar to the last one, based on their accent

VENEZUELA 🇻🇪

La Catira - Simply Blondie

BRAZIL 🇧🇷

Loirinh - Also just means Blondie
