We hope you aren’t in too much of a Halloween candy hangover, because when the spooky season comes to a close, it’s time for…more holidays! We’re happy to put away the tricks and focus on the treats, because just like you, we are looking to the coming months for some blockbuster movies, cozy traditions, and, well, holiday food!
But first, let’s do the Time Warp and take a look back at everything you might have missed last month during our Halloween issue!
If you were looking for tons of Halloween fandom content, you found the right place. We took a look at the most nostalgic classic movies that we love to love during spooky season. We explored the scary movie tropes that are used in some of those movies we love rewatching too. Sometimes, horror films are born of urban legends–so we put together a list of some of the scariest urban legends that inspired our favorite creepy movies.
Thrillers aren’t complete without something to fear. So we highlighted some of the scariest movie monsters in movies over the years–some of which have haunted us for decades. Also iconic are the witches we love to, well, love in movies and TV. And if those didn’t inspire you to put together an epic Halloween outfit, we offered some ideas for pop culture costumes.
Now that you’ve caught up, we are excited to reveal our November 2024 theme: Fandom Feast! In honor of Thanksgiving and other food-centric holidays coming at us fast, we thought it was high time for an issue focused on food and fandom.
