They tried many names but it wasn't until they met Gil and he joined the band did they find what worked. Lane, Zach, Brian and Gil became Hep Alien.

Zach only needed to figure out that a good writing partner was this 40-something year old Korean, former tambourine player, antique store owner, and his future mother-in-law. Brian just wasn't meeting expectations as a writing partner because he gave in way too easily. He didn't push Zach to be his best.

Write a hit. It's that simple. You write a hit, You get a record contract. You write a hit, You get representation. Can Zach do it? Can he write a hit? Will Zach's future be decided on this jam? Can he find the right minor chord that is very Ray Davies? Just three and a half minutes and radio friendly.
