Remarkist introduces “Friday Night Dinner” 🍽️ event series starting with EatingGilmore’s Larisa Kliman
Try your hand at cooking and win special prizes every Friday in June. Hold the escargot, please!
For some, “Friday Night Dinner” is a boring family obligation. 😴 For others, it’s quality time well spent with loved ones over a delicious meal, like a heaping pile of Johnny Marzetti or spaghetti and meatballs 🍝 (even if it tends to make us feisty).
Whatever it means to you, we hope you’ll join us for one or more of our 🍽️ Friday Night Dinners 🍽️ during the Super Sensational Summer Spectacular!
Introducing our “Friday Night Dinner” series
Every Friday in June, a Remarkist community member will be hosting a special Friday Night Dinner event. Each event will feature a different theme and cooking challenge. Put your culinary skills 👩🏽🍳 to the test and you can win special prizes!
Meet our special guest for this Friday night’s event
This Friday, June 3, join us at 9 PM ET (6 PM PT) for dinner and a fireside chat with our guest, Larisa Kliman, founder of Eating Gilmore. A seasoned home chef, Larisa has been cooking and eating her way through the recipes of the show Gilmore Girls, and we’re so excited to learn her ways.
It wouldn’t be Friday Night Dinner without a St. James-worthy meal, which is why Larisa has cooked up a challenge for us! 🔥🔥🔥
This is basically your audition to take over as head chef at the inn, (and win some prizes) so here's what you have to do:
At any time on Friday, June 3, create one or more recipes from the following list of scrumptious options from the Eating Gilmore blog:
Appetizer: The Magic Risotto 🍚 or Sookie's Zucchini Soup 🍲
Entrée: Invent your own Luke's burger! 🍔 We all know Luke's burgers are iconic, and now you have the chance to create your own.
Put together your ideal Luke's burger with your favorite toppings. Points will be given for creativity, execution, and mouth-watering ability.
The winner will have their burger recipe featured on EatingGilmore.com!
Read this next part carefully: Take a gorgeous photo or video of your finished work, and post it on your preferred public social channels (Facebook, Twitter, IG, TikTok). It has to be public—if we can’t see it, we can’t judge it. Tag both @remarkist and @eatinggilmore, and use the hashtags #FridayNightDinnerChallenge and #SuperSensational! Make it really good, and you might find your photo or video in a special reel…📽 For the “Invent your own Luke’s burger” category, make sure to also include an easy to follow recipe and ingredients list in the description of the post.
“But what do we win?”
We’re glad you asked: one winner will be chosen in each of the 3 categories—Appetizer, Entree, Dessert— and they will receive 1000 KRNLs each 🌽 🌽 🌽 (mmmm, that reminds us: sweet corn season is coming…). KRNLs are a game tokens that fuel our budding fandom economy. Members earn them for participation in Remarkist, and they can be used in all sorts of ways—including an upcoming game auction to win signed cast memorabilia.
A special Grand Prize Memento will also be bestowed to the Remarkist who posts the best overall creation photo in any of the recipes, and winner of the Best Burger (as in, the most creative recipe, Santa-burger style) will have their recipe featured on EatingGilmore.com!
Larisa will pick the winning submissions as we sit down to Friday Night Dinner via Clubhouse on 6/3 at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET!
We're getting hungry already—and we can't wait to see what you make!
