A family sits in a busy airport reminiscing on their recent Jamaican vacation. They learn that their flight has been overbooked. And the airline is asking for volunteers to be bumped. The members of the Stone family agree to take the alternate flight number 828.
That decision changes their future.
As Michaela, Ben and Ben’s son Cal say goodbye to the remaining family members, they do not know what is in store for them. They just know that it will be an adventure and will get them a food voucher.
Turns out flight 828 took some sort of deviated flight plan as it didn’t arrive back in New York City for five and a half years. What happened to this plane?
Every character makes decisions on how to follow the callings they receive. Even the characters who don’t receive callings themselves, react and decide how to respond to the others.
The characters who were onboard the fateful flight, have all been receiving special callings as they try to figure out the mystery of what led them there. Michaela and Ben are under the assumption that these callings will lead them somewhere to help other passengers. Cal’s visions come in the form of art. He usually can visualize where something is and is able to lead the others to help.
This show has kept me riveted as we watch Ben and Michaela stand tall to protect their family against all odds. I like how they use their callings to bring hope to the others. I expect that this will help to also bring answers to what actually happened aboard the plane.
I have loved watching Olive discover herself as she uncovers relics and hidden messages in the tarot cards. And as Cal interprets his dreams through art, he seems to connect physically to others by their pain.
As we wait for the final episodes to be released, I hope that we see the pieces come together so this family can have some peace.
