Amazingly Awesome Abounding Auctions: Bidding Starts Soon!
We're holding our first ever physical memorabilia auction, with items biddable only using our Körnel (KRNL) earning token. Get in there and start collecting!
As some of you may know, I played Hep Alien’s nerdy bassist, Brian Fuller, on the popular television series Gilmore Girls. Well, we’ve been talking about something special at Remarkist for the past year, and now it’s finally here (hey, you poet!) Get ready for our long-overdue Amazingly Awesome Abounding Auctions which will feature a slew of exciting prizes including dozens of signed memorabilia from my time working on the show. All bids will be in our KRNL game token 🌽 which members collect simply by RSVPing and attending events in our app. 📱
This article dives deep into how the auction will work and serves as an auction program listing every item along with its unique identifier during the two-day event. If you’re receiving this over email, a portion of the article may be truncated. If so, please find the full piece here or share it with others:
You’ll also want to check the article over the next few days for any updates or additional items added. Or even better join our Discord for up-to-the-minute information from me—hundreds of us are also partying there every day! 🎉
How will the auctions work?
Starting on Saturday at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT in the Remarkist App, roughly 50 special gift box Memento editions will begin appearing in our in-app auction house (learn the basics about Mementos here). These special Memento editions will be staggered throughout the hour in different sets, each with its own distinctive color-design look. Every Memento edition at auction will be linked to a physical prize. I will determine the appropriate starting bid for all items—based on their value to me— and I will make the first bid on every item which will begin a 24-hour countdown.
On Sunday at 2 PM ET / 11AM PT the previous day’s auctions will begin coming to a close, and a second slew of 50 gift box Mementos will start hitting the auction house. Again, they’ll begin throughout the hour in small groupings that each have different box colors. Every Memento edition will be linked to a physical prize. I will determine the appropriate starting bid for all items—based on their value to me— and I will make the first bid on every item which will begin a 24-hour countdown.
On Monday at around 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT all auctions will start coming to an end.
Also, starting this Friday at 9 AM PT, tipping will be disabled until next Tuesday. This will prevent members from sharing KRNL balances while the auction is active. If you’d like to work together with others and share balances, you’ll need to plan and pool resources before Friday.
All won items will begin shipping in early August, and any shipping costs will need to be paid by the winners. If any of you think we might see each other in person within the year, I’m happy to store the winnings here and deliver them in person. But with over 100 items, the cost to Remarkist (ie me and Sean) will just be too much for us right now. I hope you understand. For those living in Europe, there is good news. Our family travels to Europe and may be able to send certain heavy items from within Europe this year. I wish I could say the same for our family in Oceana, Central America, and South America.
Special Auctions
Within the 100+ Memento-auctions, there will be 10 items deemed high-value. Firstly, accessing any of those 10 high-value auctions will require participation in our charity scavenger hunt. Additionally, these items will be won through a two-phase bidding process. The first phase is open to the entire community and will produce 10 finalists. The second phase is open only to those finalists.
Although the first phase is open to anyone in the community, bidding will be grouped into four categories, with each category producing a few of those finalists:
Memento Makers - To bid in this category, you must have spent at least 10,000 KRNLs crafting Mementos and cannot bid as a Newbie or Across the Ponder. This category will produce 2 finalists.
Across the Ponders - To bid in this category, you must live outside of North and South America and cannot bid as a Newbie or Memento Maker. This category will produce 2 finalists.
Newbies - To bid in this category, you must be new to Remarkist and with no linked account from our old app and cannot bid as a Memento Maker or Across the Ponder. This category will produce 3 finalists.
All Folks - Anyone can bid in this category, even if they’ve bid in one of the other three—as long as they’ve participated in our charity campaign. This category will produce 3 finalists.
The General Items
All items will be linked to a specific Memento edition number within one of the following Memento sets. You can also see what item a Memento edition is linked to on the bidding screen by tapping it. The gift box image will flip around to reveal a handwritten description of the item on the back of the Memento.
Teal Set
Edition #1 - Gilmore Girls 2005 Martini Glass
Make your own “Rory” or just a classic Lorelai martini. This was given to attendees of the Season 5 wrap party. It includes the laser-etched date, show logo, and the text “The Other Martini” which… I don’t totally get, to be honest. Is that from the series? 🤷♂️
Edition #2 - Season 7 iPod Shuffle
It’s an iPod Shuffle from 2007. Not sure if it has songs on it. Pretty sure I never used it. I mean, it’s super old. But it does say Gilmore Girls Season 7 on the bottom—very small so my camera couldn’t focus it. These found their way to eBay shortly after the show went off the air. Tbh, I think the cool thing here is a piece of antique Apple tech. I can sign this item before sending it out.
Edition #3 - Hep Studio Keychain 1
This is one of two faux studio keychains I once got my hands on. I can’t remember where, but they’re signed by me, Keiko Agena, and Todd Lowe. They’re not from the show itself—just very cute. They come in a small protective bag.
Edition #4 - Hep Studio Keychain 2
This is one of two faux studio keychains I once got my hands on. I can’t remember where, but they’re signed by me, Keiko Agena, and Todd Lowe. They’re not from the show itself—just very cute. They come in a small protective bag.
Edition #5 - Cast Call Sheet
This is a real call sheet from March 6, 2006, for the episode “I Get a Side Kick Out of You”. It’s signed by Keiko Agena, and Sean Gunn, who are all listed on the sheet to have worked that day. I am listed as well and will sign it before sending it out. You can see when we were called to set and what scenes we were shooting.
Edition #6 - Hep Shirt
This medium-sized shirt was on the merch table during the Church Tour. I will sign it before sending it out.
Edition #7 - Music From Gilmore Girls (Keiko Agena)
“Our Little Corner of the World” CD soundtrack. Signed by Keiko Agena
Edition #8 - Music From Gilmore Girls (Sean Gunn)
“Our Little Corner of the World” CD soundtrack. Signed by Sean Gunn
Edition #9 - Art Print by Keiko Agena
This is a high-quality art print of one of Keiko Agena’s ink drawings, signed by her. It is edition 10 of 50.
Edition #10 - Gilmore Girls Parka
This is a S/P-sized parka with Gilmore Girls embroidered on the left chest. I’m not sure why it’s considered S/P since it fits me. But it’s certainly not large. I want to say I got this as a gift from the show during the revival… but to be honest, I really can’t remember where I got it. The tag is still on. It’s pretty comfy. I’ll sign it if you’d like.
Red Set
All 10 editions in this set are matched to a guitar pick. I am 100% sure nine of them were from the original series. I had a habit of taking guitar picks home to practice and forgetting to bring them back. They were guitar picks, so no one cared. Edition #3, however, might have been from the live show we did at ATX TV fest in 2015. They will all be hand-signed by me on the back.
Navy Set
Edition #1 - 100th Episode Tote Bag
All cast received this tote bag when the series aired its 100th episode.100 Episodes used to be a very important milestone for a television series because it was the threshold for entering syndication and becoming profitable. In the subsequent age of DVD, download, and streaming, this is no longer as much the case. I’ll sign this tote before sending it.
Edition #2 - Film by Kirk T-Shirt (Signed)
This large-sized is a Film By Kirk shirt. Don’t know where I got it. This might be from the set, or it might not be. But it’s signed by Sean Gunn.
Edition #3 - Script Page, Cast Page, and Post Card (Signed)
This is the cast page from the script “One’s Got Class and the Other One Dyes” (the band’s debut), a single script page from “Haunted Leg”, and a postcard message from Jessica “Sugar” Kiper. They come courtesy of Sugar Kiper and are all signed by her.
Edition #4 - Glass Dragonfly Mixer 1
These were given to attendees of one of the opening or wrap parties of a Gilmore Girls season between 3 and 6. My memory says it was 4, but it might have been 5. Heck, it could have been 6. Which probably means it was 3. 🤷♂️ I’m sure you will agree it’s beautiful.
Edition #5 - Glass Dragonfly Mixer 2
These were given to attendees of one of the opening or wrap parties of a Gilmore Girls season between 3 and 6. My memory says it was 4, but it might have been 5. Heck, it could have been 6. Which probably means it was 3. 🤷♂️ I’m sure you will agree it’s beautiful.
Green Set
Did you have fun with our Charity Scavenger Hunt? Well then bid on a mug with a print of your favorite map! Editions #1 - #3 have the Town Map, Editions #4 - #6 have the City Map, and Editions #7 - #9 have the University Map.
To bid on one of these you need to own any of our final Charity Challenge Composable Mementos.
Chocolate Set
Do you have any Musical, Hep, or Tone-deaf Aliens hanging around your Memento collection? Then bid on one of these rad t-shirts that celebrate the entire Remarkist Season 1 Hep Collection. Only 10 of these will ever exist. They’ll be hand-signed by me. Three colors to choose from—approximate matches to the colors below.
To bid on one of these you need to own one of the following Mementos: Musical Alien Tech, Tone-Deaf Alien Tech, or Heppest Alien Tech.
Yellow Set
Oh, the Gazebos! Get ready for a signed, framed, high-quality print of each of our Season 1 Gazebo Mementos. Members can only bid on these if they own either the Gazebo Memento associated with the print or the final Seasonal Love composable. The frame below is a mock-up, but I plan to go with something similar in natural unfinished wood. The size is 5 x 7 inches. Collect all 6 and create a wall display.

Pink Set
This is a 25-edition set that represents all of the episodes of Gilmore Girls that I performed in between seasons 3 and season 6. For each Memento edition, I will type out a short anecdote on a small piece of card stock about my time working on that episode. Episode progression will match edition progression, with “One’s Got Class and the Other One Dyes” being edition #1 and “I Get a Sidekick Out of You” being edition #25. Each of these will be individually signed.
These will come with a short, personal note from me along with a yellow corn sticker and the Yellow Corn Memento, which can be used in our Corn Composables (ask about them if you don’t know)
Certain editions within this set will have bidding restricted to only owners of the Original Townie Memento.
Lime Set
This is a 9 edition set that represents the last 9 episodes of Gilmore Girls that I performed in. They include all my episodes of Season 7 and the revival. For each Memento edition, I will write a card-length anecdote from my time working on that episode. Episode progression will match edition progression, with the two revival parts corresponding to editions #8 and #9. Each of these will be individually signed.
These will come with a short, personal note from me along with a yellow corn sticker and the Yellow Corn Memento.
Certain editions within this set will have bidding restricted to only owners of the Original Townie Memento.
The Special Items
And finally some of the items we’ve all been waiting for! These high-value items have been placed behind a two-phase auction.
Phase One - Coppern Tickets
To bid on any of these, you will also need to own one of our Charity Scavenger Hunt final composables—either one of the individual map award composables or the 12-part finish-line composable.
This is a 100 KRNL density Memento that serves as the access pass into the second phase of these Special Item auctions.
Editions #1 & 2 will only be biddable by owners of the Memento Makers Memento.
Editions #3 & 4 will only be biddable by owners of the Across the Ponds Memento.
Editions #5, #6, and #7 will only be biddable by owners of the Newbies Memento.
Editions #8, #9, and #10 will be open to anyone in the community if they have donated to our Charity Scavenger Hunt and claimed one of the composables. This includes owners of the Memento Makers, Across the Ponds, and Newbies Mementos.
The Phase One auctions will begin at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT on Saturday, June 25, and will end the following day at the same time.
Phase Two - Golden Gift
This is a 1000 KRNL density Memento.
Items will be linked to a specific edition number within the Golden Gift set. See those items below. You can also double-check what item a Memento edition is linked to on the bidding screen by tapping it. The gift box image will flip around to reveal a handwritten description of the item on the back of the Memento.
The Phase Two Golden Gift auctions will begin at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT on Sunday, June 26, and will end the following day at the same time.
To bid on one of these items you need to own one of the Coppern Ticket Mementos.
Edition #1 - Hep Hat
This hat was on the merch table during the Church Tour and is signed by Keiko Agena. I will sign it too if you’d like.
Edition #2 - Hep Stick 1
This is one of two drumsticks signed by Keiko Agena. They were the actual drumsticks she used on set.
Edition #3 - Hep Stick 2
This is one of two drumsticks signed by Keiko Agena. They were the actual drumsticks she used on set.
Edition #4 - Hep Poster
This was from a stack of printed posters that were on the merch table during the church tour. Made by the props department, so don’t expect a high-quality print. It is signed by me, Keiko Agena, Todd Lowe, and Sebastian Bach.
Edition #5 - Hep Amp
This is a Pig Nose amp—a small battery-powered amp for on-the-go electric jamming in the park. It’s seen in Sophie’s music store and has been signed by me, Keiko Agena, and Todd Lowe.
Edition #6 - Signed copy of Someday, Someday, Maybe
This is a copy of Lauren Graham’s first book Someday, Someday, Maybe, signed by the author.
Edition #7 - DVD Boxed Set (Blue Edition)
There was no Blue Edition. In truth, this was gifted to me by a Warner Brothers exec who had it sitting in the window of his office for almost a decade. The sun-bleached out all colors except blue 🤷♂️. So I got the following actors to sign it in blue metallic ink:
Todd Lowe
Nick Holmes
John Cabrera
George Bell
Aris Alvarado
Shelly Cole
Sean Gunn
Keiko Agena
Rini Bell
Ethan Cohn
Devon Michaels
Cat Kirk
This boxed set is famous for having lots of faulty DVDs and this set is no exception. Don’t expect many of these to work in any DVD player. This is a collector’s item at best.
Edition #8 - Hep Strap (Army Green)
This is one of two guitar straps used on the set of the show signed by Todd Lowe. I will sign it too before sending it out.
Edition #9 - Hep Strap (Golden Pinstripes)
This is one of two guitar straps used on the set of the show signed by Todd Lowe. I will sign it too before sending it out.
Edition #10 - Signed Script
This is a Pre-Shooting script for Season 6 Episode
17, “I’m OK, You’re OK”, signed by the following actors—the supporting cast in silver and the main cast in gold:
Todd Lowe
Nick Holmes
John Cabrera
George Bell
Aris Alvarado
Shelly Cole
Sean Gunn
Keiko Agena
Rini Bell
Ethan Cohn
Devon Michaels
It has a different director listed than who actually shot the episode. Steve Clancy had a conflict with this episode and was instead switched to another later in the season. This script may also have some differences from the Shooting Script which would be recognizable against a watch since episodes were typically word-perfect.
And that’s it! Good luck everyone!
